The focus of the curriculum at The Heritage School is on developing and strengthening literacy in early childhood. We believe that phonics is an effective way of teaching children of all abilities to decode letters into their respective sounds. It helps them map sounds into spellings, ensures proper pronunciation, develops word recognition for comprehension of text- all of which aids fluency in reading. The teachers of Nursery and KG held a session on Saturday 10th July 2021 to familiarize parents of preschool learners with the techniques used to enhance learning of letters and corresponding sounds.
