MC MARY KOM’S VISIT TO THE CAMPUS

The students of the Middle Program got an opportunity to meet the celebrated Indian boxer MC Mary Kom, when she visited the campus on 17th August 2021. The only woman to have won the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, Mary Kom’s inspirational personal narrative, exemplified the significance of discipline, determination and perseverance in achieving goals. Her insights and life lessons left indelible prints on impressionable minds as they learnt about health, fitness, training and rigour. Interacting with the icon who fought against all odds to prove her prowess, both in and outside the ring, the students witnessed for themselves the strength of resilience, the impact of positivity and the power of humility.

    INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS IN SCHOOL

To commemorate the country’s 75th Independence Day, a presentation with the participation of all students was witnessed virtually by members of the school fraternity. The students of Grades 4, 5 and 6 depicted significant events during the struggle for freedom, while students of Grades 1, 2 and 3 paid homages to the National Flag through a well-choreographed dance performance. The pre-primary classes charmed everyone by showcasing the rich and diverse culture of our nation in a beautiful dance performance. These performances were interspersed with glimpses of art work created by all the students of the school.

      EXPEDITION – INDIA@75 MIDDLE PROGRAMME

We have launched INDIA@75 – an expedition on the freedom movement of India, the India of today, and our vision for the future. Beginning with the First War of Independence in 1857 and the rise and fall of the East India Company, students learned about various aspects of the freedom struggle of India. This made students appreciate the determination and patriotic zeal shown by the freedom fighters, which was instrumental in India attaining its Independence.
