The aim of the Junior Programme is to create a joyous vibrant space for children to feel comfortable in with themselves and their new environment.

Junior Programme
(Grades Nursery to 3)

At the heart of the junior programme is a commitment to inquiry and exploration as vehicles for learning. We foster innate curiosity in children through concrete hands-on experiences which occur in contexts that take the shape of 'themes'. These experiential units enable learning beyond the exact sciences and demands dialogue with the humanities and social sciences, as well as with art, literature, poetry and music which come together as integrated units, free from the boundaries of isolated subjects. All language development happens within these themes. Children go through at least 40 such concrete experiences in the junior years. Each experience’s duration is anywhere between four to six weeks.

Art and music are languages through which a child can express herself creatively. Our emphasis is not on the mere skill of drawing, singing or playing an instrument. Children are first introduced to musical concepts through experiences such as listening, singing, or movement. The focus is on exploring these forms of arts and equipping children with basic skills to develop an appreciation of the arts and aesthetics. Similarly, Physical Education at this stage is centred on developing tactile skills and improving balance and movement, precursors to later growth and choices.
